The philosophy behind BeTheOpposite is something I like to call functional contrarianism.
Functional in that you’re contrarian for the sake of self-improvement and or your benefit in the face of a society that opposes your betterment.
If you want to set yourself apart from the crowd, you have to step away from it.
If someone says you should exercise regularly, don’t put your feet up in an act of bloated defiance. But if you’re surrounded by people who live their lives paycheck to paycheck, you should set yourself apart from the crowd.
That’s functional contrarianism in a nutshell, that’s being the opposite.
What does it mean to be average?
Being average is doing what most people do.
Being average is a failure to go against the grain where it counts.
BeTheOpposite is an all-in-one self-improvement resource for men, providing practical advice covering every area of life so you can become the best man you can be.
Every week I’ll be publishing new articles that all have one thing in common: they have a demonstrable use.
Each article will either come in the form of a guide, a how-to, or a mindset.
Without the right mindset, you can find something of great value and see absolutely nothing. Without practical steps to take, you’ll quickly run out of steam. You need both to succeed on this path.
My mission isn’t only to get you reading, it’s to get you to implement the actionable advice I provide and change your mindset so you can transform your life.
This is about the empowerment of the individual through small, escalating changes.
BeTheOpposite provides the tools you need to become a better man, so you can live a better life.
